2 is the only anti-microbial gas found in the atmosphere. When CO
2 comes in contact with the moist surface of fresh seafood, it turns to carbonic acid, a major inhibitor of bacteria growth.
When our specially designed CO2 pads are placed with fish and other
seafood, they greatly reduce the growth of harmful aerobic bacteria
naturally. The results help preserve the freshness, color, smell, and safety of seafood for a longer period of time.
